Well facinating as this discussion of scary movies is, I think this is the right place for me to post this. http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stori...1/19/index.htm
More on the evolution ep coming up. Lots of pictures.

Oompa Loompa, Doopity Do...LMAO!
I'm sorry SLARTS, you know i'm just teasin ya.
Those Oompas were kinda freaky-looking!
SPATS thanks for the EVo scenes! I REALLY like how much screen time they've been giving Kurt. Cant wait for next week's episode.
Also I know i'm kinda late on this scary movie subject, but i've got one for everyone.
John Carpenter's remake of the THING.
*shudder*
I know that by today's standards the horror FX might seem kinda cheesy, but back then the freaky looking stuff in that flick blew me away!
My Mom didnt allow me to watch R-rated movies at the time, so my older Cousin snuck me in to see it.
Let me tell you that for like 2 weeks after I saw it I would NOT sleep in my room alone!
Kept having this recurring nightmare about that severed 'arachna-head' being under my bed
It's funny how sometimes the stuff that scares you as a kid, STILL gives you the willies as an adult.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the Thing. There was some freaky stuff in that movie. I still catch it now and then on the sci-fi channel. that crawling head is still freaky, but funny too. Something I've wondered about is whether that guy who had the heart attack and whose head popped off knew he was part of the Thing or not. He acted just as scared as the other guys.

Yeah SPATS I'd wondered about that too! Maybe the creature functions kind of like an 'infection'. I imagine that it's a little similar to when the Brood have implanted someone. The invading organism is able to remain dormant without the hosts' knowledge OR it can assume complete contol.
(Geez, now I feel like renting that movie!)

Now really, that Wonka movie freaked me out too! There was something very unsettling about it!

I remember seeing that movie in elementary school as a "treat!" Ack! I refuse to ever see it again.. I think there was something in the tunnel on the chocolate river..? An overall creepy movie. Very disturbing.
And at work there's a boy who calls me an Oopma Loompa b/c I'm short. I'm 5'2" and I dont have green hair (not anymore!) and I'm certainly not orange!
